Dan Allen has been promoted to president of Roto-Plate, Inc., a flexographic trade shop located in Burlington, NC, USA. Allen has served as the VP of development and technical advisor for Roto-Plate since April 2009. Formerly of Pitman Company, he was a technical printing consultant for over 20 years. His professional expertise offers particular insight into the production of flexographic plates, a vast understanding of varied flexographic and offset printing equipment, as well as fingerprint and banded analog testing. Allen’s knowledge of flexographic, offset and letterpress printing provides Roto-Plate with insight into both pre-press and pressroom operations encompassing stringent requirements, plate and pressroom layout, equipment analysis, as well as training and troubleshooting.

Allen’s responsibilities at Roto-Plate, Inc. include oversight of all operations, forecasting, strategic planning, and the development of new client bases in narrow and mid-web flexographic printing, as well as coating plates for the packaging industry.
